Populary known as the land of a thousand hills. Rwanda is located in EAST CENTRAL Africa and covers approximately 26,338sq.km. Boardering Uganda to the North, Tanzania to the East, Burundi to the south and Democratic republic of Congo to the West
WEATHER
Rwanda has average temperatures ranging between 16 to 22 degrees Celcius. It is located with in the equatorial belt with , its climate isn’t mainly of equatorial rainy type. It has humid climate including rainy forest and savannah type. The rainfall characteristics for Rwanda are known to have large temporal and spatial variation due to the varied topography. Rwanda has two rainy seasons {February to April , November to January} The dry season is {June to September}
CURRENCY
The Rwanda Franc is the principal currency.Foreign currencies like the Us dollars are also widely accepted. However when paying for local services in cash Rwanda Francs is what is used.
PEOPLE AND CULTURE
The languages mainly used in Rwanda are Kinyarwanda, French and English. However Kinyarwanda is widely spoken by all classes of people and groups. The population is mainly comprised of three main groups of people agriculturalists, pastoral people and the hunter gatherers who once lived in the forests i.e the Batwa.

BEST TIME TO VISIT RWANDA
The best time to visit Rwanda is in the drier months from mid December to early February and June to September and it is also the best time to go for trekking safaris.
November has shorter rains,however March to May have longer rains. Alternatively photographers will prefer the the rainy season because of less light contrast from through the trees making it easy to focus on the subject matter
