This 6 days safari in Uganda takes you through fort portal for the crater lakes tour, Kibale forest national park for the chimpanzee trekking,Queen elizabeth national park for game drives and launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel and finally Bwindi impenetrable national park for the Ultimate gorilla trekking experience with Wilderness trips
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Fortportal for a the crater lakes tour
Day 2: Track Chimpanzees in Kibale Forest national park, Uganda and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Day 3: Early morning game drives in the Kasenyi and Queen Miles and afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga channel.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi through the Isasha sector for a game drive.
Day 5: Trek gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable national park, Uganda
Day 6: Return to Kampala
DAY 1: TRANSFER FROM KAMPALA TO FORTPORTAL.
Transfer to Fort portal through Mityana, Mubende and Kyenjojo. As you approach Forportal Town, look out for beautiful tea plantations and great scenic views of the ranges of mountain Rwenzori. On arrival in Fortportal you will have Lunch and then go to Nyakasura for the crater lakes tour
You will be briefed by a guide on arrival who will take you through a local tradition Toro Folklore about King Bakuku of Toro who chopped off breasts of his daughter Nyina Mwiru and had them thrown in the caves following a prophesy that his daughter would one day get married have a son, Ndahura who will kill the king and take over the throne. According to the Folklore the prophesy came to pass. The guide will take you into the jungle in the caves to discover what became of the breasts that were thrown in the caves.
You will also learn about the scientific explanation of the Stalactites made up of calcium carbonate.
After a tour of the caves you will proceed for a scenic tour of the crater lakes i.e. Lake Saaka, Lake Wabikere and lake Kigere. Depending on your Fitness level you will hike to the top of the hills to get better views of the lakes.

Day 2: TREK CHIMPANZEES IN KIBALE FOREST AND TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Today morning you will go for Chimpanzee trekking where you will get an insight into the lives of these animals that are man’s closed relative.
After tracking you will have Lunch and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth national where you will have the next day’s adventure into the wild. On arrival at your hotel you will check in and have Lunch before heading out for an afternoon Launch cruise on the Kazinga channel.

Day 3: Early morning Game drive along the Kasenyi and Queen Miles and afternoon and launch cruise on the Kazinga channel.
Today morning you will go for an early moning game drive along the Kasenyi and queen miles in search for more game.
The boat cruise along the Kazinga channel is the highlight of the queen Elizabeth national park safari. Here you will have the opportunity to view great numbers of wildlife e.g. elephants monitor lizards, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and large numbers of birds e.g. eagles, kingfishers sparrow, the doves, weaver birds, eaglet and sun birds converging at the channel waters to enjoy a sip of the natural waters. You will also have a chance to reach the Uganda Congo border while on your cruise. You will then be driven back to your lodge for rest.

DAY 4: GAME DRIVE IN ISHASHA QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK THEN DRIVE TO BWINDI.
After breakfast, Transfer to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector for an enroute game drive searching for the tree climbing lions alongside buffaloes, elephants lions, hyenas, water bucks, bush bucks, Uganda Kobs plus many bird species e.g. marabou stock, ibis, vultures. After, transfer to Bwindi arriving in the evening.

DAY 5: GORILLA TRACKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK.
After your breakfast, your guide shall drive you the tracking point or park head quarters from where the head game ranger will brief you at 8:00 am then lead you, through the gorilla paths in the thick Bwindi Impenetrable rain forests searching for the giant mountain Gorillas. You will have the company of an armed game ranger to scare away any unfriendly wild animals by shooting in the air but also you will have the unarmed rangers who will pave for the way leading you to where the gorillas are for that day. Potters who help you carry any luggage such as packed lunch, water and any other items such as cameras are available at only 10-15$. In case one fails to take on the trek of the steep mountains these potters do the pushing as well and when you totally a stretcher shall be called in but at a fee 300$.
Once tracked, you shall be given 1 hour to view and interact with these beautiful primates plus taking photographs. After this trek you will trek back to the starting point and find your guide who will drive you back to your back to your lodge for a late lunch but later take an optional community walk to visit the native Batwa community and have a cultural entertainment.

Day 6: Return to Kampala / Entebbe
After breakfast this morning with great memories of an African safari in Uganda with Wilderness trips you start your leisurely drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the evening which marks the end of this Uganda gorilla safari trip.
