This 21 days safari in Uganda with Wilderness Trips starts with a city tour Kampala, Uganda’s capital city, continues to Jinja, the adventure capital of the East Africa, then proceeds to Mountain Elgon an extinct volcano with one of Uganda’s oldest physical features, first erupting around 24 million years ago, continues to Kidepo valley national park , the most remote of all Uganda’s destinations. The vast savannah plains and rugged mountain landscape of Kidepo Valley National Park makes it by far the most spectacular of Uganda’s parks and later on proceeds to Murchison falls national park,Ugandas largest national park, then to Kibale forest national park, the primate capital of the world and then proceeds to Queen Elizabeth national park ,Uganda’s second largest national park and is also a world biosphere reserve and a Ramsar wetland site, Bwindi impenetrable national park, home of Uganda’s mountain Gorillas and it ends with lake Mburo national park the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years.

DAY 1: ARRIVE AT ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
On arrival you will be picked up by our representative who will transfer you to your Hotel. At the hotel the guide will take you through your tour program and give you an insight on what to expect in the coming 20 days. DAY 2: KAMPALA CITY TOUR.
Kampala is the Capital City of Uganda a country that will become your home for the next 20 days. The city tour will take you around the Seven Hills of Kampala and it will be mainly about origin of foreign religions in Buganda and Uganda and current dominant religions we have now. Main areas to be visited Namirembe Cathedral, Lubaga Cathedral, Mengo palace, Gaddaffi Mosque, Fort Lugard Nakasero hill, Kololo Hill and finally Independence monument.

DAY 3: EXPLORE JINJA
Jinja is the adventure Capital of Uganda. Get ready for a day of Fun and Adventure. After an early breakfast today you will transfer to Jinja. On arrival you will take part in one of the adventure activities you may choose it could be Half day rafting on the mighty river Nile, Quad biking or even Bumgee Jumping.
In the afternoon you will go for lunch and then later on you will take a short ride to the source of the Nile-a quiet beautiful place, filled with palm trees, fantastic tropical plants and as you walk down the steps toward the Nile you can smell of the flowers there. As you stand on the Nile, you will hear the gurgling water; watch native fishermen throw their nets in the longest river in Africa-
After the day tour you will go to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: TRANSFER TO MOUNT ELGON & VISIT SIPI FALLS
After breakfast, transfer to Mount Elgon 175km from Jinja. You will pass through amazing landscapes of the east, rice fields and sugarcane plantations before arriving in Mbale for Lunch. After lunch you will visit the Sipi falls where you will marvel at this magnificent natural feature as it flows down the slopes of rugged rocks that adjoin the Elgon Mountain. It is a rewarding scenic view to encounter while on Uganda safari.

DAY 5 SASA TRAIL BUSOMOLA TO MUDDE CAMP (1770 METERS TO 3500 METERS TAKING 6 TO 10 HOURS
Mountain Elgon is an all year climbing destination, the second highest in Uganda and eighth highest in Africa relatively easy with good established trails. The Sasa trail is the shortest but steepestfor climbing mountain mountain Elgon. Sasa river is located on the western flank.
The first few hours will be abit strenuous with steep incline coupled with hot mid morning temperatures. The hike will take you through the forest to sasa river camp which is half way your days journey and its at this point that you will take a break .Later on continue with your journey up through the forest nd breaking into the alpine heather, shrub and giant lobelia arriving at mudde camp where you will have dinner and spend the night
DAY 6 MUDDE CAMP TO WAGAGAI SUMMIT AND BACK TO MUDDE CAMP (3500METERS TO 4321METERS TO 3500METERS TAKING 5 TO 10 HOURS
Today is summit day! The summit offers views of the largest mountain caldera in the world. Start up early in order to get the best opportunity for a clear summit. As you cross the 4000 meters mark you will start to feel the effect and you will slow down in activity.. don’t forget to look out for the sunrise over the mountain, Simu valley and Jacksons pool, everlasting flowers, alpine lichen and all various lobelia. At the summit you have the opportunity to ascend a side summit on Jacksons peak. The Jacskons team thought it was the highest point in 1890 however it only stands at 4160 Meters. Return to the Mudde camp late afternoon for an early dinner and overnight.
DAY 7 : MUDDE CAMP TO BUSOMOLA (3500 METERS TO 1770 METERS 5 TO 10 HOURS
Rise up early with great memories of an awesome hiking experience and get ready to descend to Busowola from where you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 9: DRIVE TO KIDEPO NATIONAL PARK,UGANDA
This morning you will continue with your tour to Kidepo National Park 505km from Mbale passing through the scenic landscapes of Sironko and Mount Moroto before arriving in Kidepo in the afternoon for relaxation and overnight.

DAY 10: GAME DRIVE & COMMUNITY TOUR IN KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK,UGANDA
Wake for an early morning breakfast, and then set off for a game drive to encounter early risers and predators before they disappear from sight. Have opportunity to view real African game including; lion, elephants, giraffe, eland, oribi, Zebra, cheetah among others though not wholesomely guaranteed as they are wild animals alongside a number of bird species like Ostrich and other endemics. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. Take a community walk through the Karamajong villages in the afternoon

DAY 11: HIKE THE MORUNGOLE MOUNTAINS & ENCOUNTER THE INDIGENOUS KARAMOJONG.
This day is designed to help you encounter the indigenous Karamojong who dwell in the slopes of Morungole Mountains. You will spend much of your day hiking outside the park, viewing the amazing landscapes of the north eastern corner of Uganda franked by the cross border landscapes of Kenya and South Sudan. The day is a perfect off the beaten track adventure and will enrich your experience on how people have managed to thrive in this semi-arid climate for centuries past without even modern irrigation practices.

DAY 12: DRIVE TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK ,UGANDA
After breakfast, transfer on the surface drive to Murchison falls National Park passing through the flat open grasslands of northern Uganda as you wonder over the traditional home steads and their architecture that lie scattered in a vast landscape. Arrive in Murchison falls in the afternoon for relaxation and overnight.

DAY 13: GAME DRIVE & BOAT CRUISE MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK ,UGANDA
Begin your day with a cup of African coffee ready for a game drive, bird watching and sightseeing across the open savannah dotted woodland and riverine vegetation along the Nile and Albert delta. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, a three hour boat trip along the Nile gives you assured chance to see the falls from the bottom angle. Hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and aquatic birds can be seen along the shores of the River. For those with a good level of Fitness you will get off the boat and take a hike to the top of the falls– This historic site can only be reached from the South Bank! From the top of the falls there are fantastic advantage points that the falls can be viewed from and photographed.

DAY 14: DRIVE TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
After a relaxed breakfast this morning you will start a long leisurely drive to Kibale forest national park arriving in the evening.

DAY 15: TREK CHIMPANZEES IN KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK, UGANDA
Today morning you will go for Chimpanzee trekking where you will get an insight into the lives of these animals that are man’s closed relative. You will go to the park headquarters for a briefing with the rangers and later set off for a half day search of chimpanzee and 10 other primate including phoestes, red Colobus, blues, and red tailed and grey cheeked mangabey. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but also on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.

DAY 16: DRIVE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast this morning you will continue with your trip to Queen Elizabeth national park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch you have two optional activities you can do i.e. a guided tour along the Katwe salty lake for an insight into the fascinating yet tough process of salt minning. Or the crater lakes tour drive for great scenic viewing.

DAY 17: EARLY MORNING GAME DRIVE ALONG THE KASENYI AND QUEEN MILES AND AFTERNOON AND LAUNCH CRUISE ON THE KAZINGA CHANNEL.
Today morning you will go for an early moning game drive along the Kasenyi and queen miles in search for more game.
The boat cruise along the Kazinga channel is the highlight of the queen Elizabeth national park safari. Here you will have the opportunity to view great numbers of wildlife e.g. elephants monitor lizards, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and large numbers of birds e.g. eagles, kingfishers sparrow, the doves, weaver birds, eaglet and sun birds converging at the channel waters to enjoy a sip of the natural waters. You will also have a chance to reach the Uganda Congo border while on your cruise. You will then be driven back to your lodge for rest.

DAY 18: GAME DRIVE IN ISHASHA QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK THEN DRIVE TO BWINDI.
After breakfast, Transfer to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector for an enroute game drive searching for the tree climbing lions alongside buffaloes, elephants lions, hyenas, water bucks, bush bucks, Uganda Kobs plus many bird species e.g. marabou stock, ibis, vultures. After, transfer to Bwindi arriving in the evening.

DAY 19: GORILLA TRACKING IN BWINDI.
After your breakfast, your guide shall drive you the tracking point or park head quarters from where the head game ranger will brief you at 8:00 am then lead you, through the gorilla paths in the thick Bwindi Impenetrable rain forests searching for the giant mountain Gorillas. You will have the company of an armed game ranger to scare away any unfriendly wild animals by shooting in the air but also you will have the unarmed rangers who will pave for the way leading you to where the gorillas are for that day. Potters who help you carry any luggage such as packed lunch, water and any other items such as cameras are available at only 20$. In case one fails to take on the trek of the steep mountains these potters do the pushing as well and when you totally a stretcher shall be called in but at a fee 300$.
Once tracked, you shall be given 1 hour to view and interact with these beautiful primates plus taking photographs. After this trek you will trek back to the starting point and find your guide who will drive you back to your back to your lodge for a late lunch but later take an optional community walk to visit the native Batwa community and have a cultural entertainment.
